I am still waiting for my fantasy man: Raima Sen

Actress Raima Sen who plays a homemaker aspiring to be a singer in her next flick" Mere Khawabon Mein Jo Aaye" says she is still waiting for her ideal man.

"I am still waiting for my fantasy man," says the actress who was in the capital recently to promote the film, which releases today. First-time director Madhureeta Anand has cast Raima as Maya, a homemaker who dreams of being a singer but is regularly demoralised by her husband played by Arbaaz Khan.

Circumstances however, lead her to fantasise about an ideal man, who would boost her morale and help in realising her ambition."It is not only housewives who sacrifice their dreams at the altar of family life but anybody who has a dream will be able to identify with Maya," Raima told media.

The actress who was noticed for her role in Bollywood with" Honeymoon Travels" feels that her sister Riya Sen who is still struggling to get a foothold in the industry, just did not get the right opportunities.

The actress who has acted in critically acclaimed films like" Chokher Bali" says that she has"been lucky as far as scripts are concerned" and hopes that Riya's performance will also be appreciated by all.

When asked whether she plans to work with her mother and actress Moon Sen, she said,"I am still waiting for a film to work with my mother. But it seems that won't happen anytime soon."

Talking about her latest film, Sen says," This is the first time perhaps that a women is fantasizing about a man in a Hindi film."However, Raima is quick to add that her character Maya in the film is a devoted housewife and is not involved with her fantasy man, played by Randeep Hooda."

Yes in the film I fantasize about Randeep but I am not involved with him. He is my guiding light in the film, he helps me to achieve my dream to become a singer,"she says. For her role Raima even learned to play a harmonium."I had a tutor coming to my place to teach me how to play and it is definitely not easy to play a harmonium,"she remarks about the musical instrument.

The actress meanwhile is hoping that 2009 will be an exciting year as three of her films' Japanese Wife'' Teen Patti' and''Mirchi' are three films which are are lined up for release.
