Hello, I’m Not Twittering- Asin loses her sense of humor!

“Hey There Asin Thottumkal Is Using Twitter,” declares the latest social networking website, and then goes on to give us gems like “I want to act in Tamil movie” from the actress.

There’s just one problem. Asin is not on Twitter…or any of the social networking websites. And she can’t laugh off the impersonations any longer.

Asin has a very serious problem. She has impersonators on all the major social-networking websites. “I was ready to overlook these fake IDs using my name as long as they weren’t harmful. But now the problem is getting out of hand.”

The other night a colleague had a whole long conversation with ‘Asin’ and called up the next day to share her excitement about what an intimate conversation they had.

“I nearly fell off my chair. I won’t name this actress. But she said we shared our most intimate secrets on Facebook. I nearly fell off my chair and asked her whom did she share her secrets with. Because most certainly, it was not me. Two days ago, a journalist came to interview me and said she got all the information on me from what I had written on Twitter. For the record, I’m not on any of the social-networking websites. Apart from my own website, I am not on the Internet for any other purpose. I started blogging even before Aamir did in August 2005,”Asin declares proudly.

Asin is aghast. “I was clubbed with Chetan Bhagat and Shashi Tharoor, and put on a social networking website. But I’m not on Orkut, Facebook or Twitter. Apparently there are lots of fake profiles.”

The lies about Asin don’t end at virtual reality. “It’s been ages since I have had non-vegetarian food. For all practical purposes I’m a vegetarian. But I read this horrible report about how I love all kinds of exotic meats. I haven’t been approached by PETA. But that doesn’t mean I’ve to go the other way.”

Priyanka Chopra's new fan Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai: Desi girl of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra has a new fan. And it is none other than her ‘Kaminey' co-star Shahid Kapoor.

Even though both have denied rumours of their link-up, they cannot stop praising each other. Infact news is that Shahid is so impressed with Piggy Chops work that he feels it is her best performance so far.

Recently Shahid commented, “I always knew Priyanka is a very good actress and after working on `Kaminey` with her, I realised that she has given one of the most splendid performances of her career. I think Priyanka is at her career`s best right now”.

In his forthcoming movie ‘Kaminey' Shahid plays a double role. And Priyanka Chopra is seen supporting unglamorous look. During the shoot of the film both developed a healthy camaraderie which might have turned the gossip mill churning.

Rosa not yet over Saif!

The Delhi-based model, who is Rosa Catalano’s partner in Fear Factor — Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2, has become the talk of town thanks to the similarity between his and Rosa’s ex-beau Saif’s looks.
RosaEven Rosa is not immune to the likeness. She says, “When we got introduced I felt something was kind of familiar. After a while I noticed the similarities and thought, well dude, I do also know now why you are here and why they have put us together.” But Prashant, who was selected before Rosa had even been considered for the show, feels that it was because of his calibre that he got through. He says, “It was because of my performance that I was selected.” He recalls how Rosa reacted when she first saw him. “She was pretty adamant about the fact that I look like Saif and she’d always say, ‘your eyes are just like Saif’s.”
Even his friends as well as other girls on the show share her opinion. Rosa says, “The girls from the show saw him before and they knew that he is gonna be my partner.” Prashant concurs, “Everyone on the show would come again and again and tell me that I just talk and behave like Saif.”
Though it was a little uncomfortable in the beginning, Rosa says that the two of them “worked together to make the best of the show.” But as Prashant says, “I am not angry that people call me Saif’s look-alike but yes, I do get irritated as I have my own identity.”

Actress dismisses temple complaint

Actress and reality television star Shilpa Shetty reacted furiously to allegations she was involved in a film shoot that breached protocol at a Hindu temple.
Authorities at the Sakhigopal temple in Puri last week lodged a police complaint about the Bollywood star and her crew filming inside the sacred building, press reports said.
But Shetty, who shot to fame over a race row on the British television show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, dismissed the charges as “preposterous.”
“We didn’t even shoot in the temple, and the channel obviously took permission to shoot at the footsteps without which we couldn’t have proceeded,” she wrote on her blog on Saturday.
“I still don’t know why the FIR (first information report) is in my name because I was there hired as an actor to perform for the channel.”
She described the dispute as a waste of time when India had “a huge backlog of more important judiciary matters” and said she had been brought up to behave properly in and around temples.

Love Aaj Kal doesn't turn jerky at all: Deepika

Mumbai:
Deepika padukone
Deepika is already staring at her fourth release in less than two years since she made her much hyped debut with Om Shanti Om.

Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan - Deepika Padukone is pretty much working with the best in the business across diverse age groups. With too much happening in her life in too little time, Deepika is already staring at her fourth release in less than two years since she made her much hyped debut with Om Shanti Om. On the eve of the film's mega release, Deepika talks about her years gone by in Bollywood, Imtiaz's narrative approach, her songs, styling and the generation leap that the film takes.
From Om Shanti Om to Bachna Ae Haseeno to Chandni Chowk To China and now Love Aaj Kal - There is a visible transformation in you, right Deepika?
Yes, I have indeed opened up a lot during last two years. Of course experience does set in and you tend to become a lot more confident with every film you do. However, one can't forget that one of the major contributors to the entire transformation process is the script of Love Aaj Kal. The character too plays a major role in the way you come across on screen.

Add to that the 'Imtiaz factor'....?
Yes, I was coming to that. The entire combination as I stated earlier can never be complete until and unless the director at the helm of affairs ensures that all of it comes in just the right proportion. He is one director who really brings out your real potential. Credit it to him that I am so 'khulla' today!
So are we looking at an out and out light hearted entertainer in Love Aaj Kal? Or are there some serious dramatic elements embellished in the narrative as well?
Yes, there are some serious elements as well. They do not become too heavy though. There are pensive moments but not 'bhaari-bharkam' enough to make you feel cheated since everyone is expecting Love Aaj Kal to be a fun outing. At the heart of it, Love Aaj Kal is a complete entertainer that will certainly leave you smiling as you exit the theaters.
Love Aaj Kal is a complete entertainer that will certainly leave you smiling
Well, Pritam, Imtiaz and Saif have promised that with 'Aahun Aahun' which comes in the end credits roll!
'Aahun Aahun' is a riot for sure (laughs). But then you must not forget 'Dooriyan' as well which is the only sad number in the film. It has been amazingly picturised and gives an altogether different dimension to the film as it carries the story forward. My personal favorite though is 'Chor Bazaari'.
Talking about 'Chor Bazaari', you seem to have gone through a complete costume makeover for Love Aaj Kal.
Credit it to Anahita Shroff Adajania, my costume designer, and Imtiaz. They came with an entirely fresh take on costumes and styling. They complimented each other and brought in Indian as well as Western sensibilities. Both were very sure about they wanted from me and the costumes I wear. My character also goes through a gradual transition from the first half into the second half so the overall styling did help to bring out that aspect as well. Anahita and I have been working together since my modeling days and she is very well aware about my body structure and what suits me most. That really helped.
Coming to the film's narrative, since the film moves across two generations, was it a little tedious to shoot for the film?
Of what I know about the narration that Imtiaz has adopted for the film, you will never feel the jerk in it even though the story moves back and forth in time. It is pretty seamless actually and all scenes blend in well with the spirit of the movie. In any case Imtiaz is not someone who believes in bringing in unnecessary technical jargon and he has in fact kept it all quite simple. Once you see the film, you will realize it for yourself!
You will never feel the jerk in the film even though the story moves back and forth in time
Since the film also tells the story of Rishi Kapoor, do you also have any scenes with him?
I have just one scene with him!
So all in the family?
