It's a Botox barb which didn't go too well at the entity it was directed at. In Karan Johar's chat show (now, here's another one!) Saif Ali Khan was asked to single out a celeb in the rapid fire round, who'd suffered the pains of a Botox job, gone bad… and Saif's swift response reportedly went, "Poor Koena ( Mitra). I can't think of anybody else." And as per insiders, this one turned out to be the clinching quote that swung the scales in Khan bagging the prized hamper.
Well, whadya know, Ms. Mitra who's presently courting luck at modelling and acting assignments in the US, did get wind of Khan's indiscretion, since a pal of hers sent her a clip of the offensive take on the K Jo chatathon.
In true rapid fire mode, Mitra too admitted to being "hurt" and "upset" at Khan's acerbic jibe. Not one to be outdone, the Bengal spitfire is reported to have spoken her mind in a media comment. And socked it right back to the Junior Nawab with force and finality.
Taking potshots at his elevated status, Mitra's quote from Los Angeles published in a tabloid goes thus, "I think it's an act of desperation. If if had been a comment from another actress, I would have probably seen it in another light. But for a guy to mention me as a bad case of Botox job, is really sad. I used to think highly of him, since he's a Junior Nawab, but now I think he's only a 'gareeb' Nawab."
Dismissing rumours that she'd opted for Botox therapy, Mitra didn't hesitate to point out how radically different Khan appeared during the filming of 'Love Aaj Kal' (Botox job, Mr. Khan?), the actress is said to have unleashed her final jibe at Khan.
Her response reportedly goes, "When I reach Saif's age and have two grown up kids, maybe then I will dial him and seek his Botox advice. Till then, I am happy with the way I look."
