Barbara's back to haunt Hrithik

We had broken the news that Rakesh Roshan's arch-rival in the industry, Jayantilal Gada, head honcho of PEN Entertainment, had bought the rights of My Brother's Wife, a Spanish film starring Barbara Mori, hoping to cash in on the success of Kites.

Kites bombed, but Gada, it seems, is still wanting a panga with the Roshans.

It needs to be reminded that Gada and Rakesh Roshan had fought a legal battle in court over the film and TV merchandising rights of Hrithik's debut feature, Kaho Na Pyar Hai. It seems that the bad vibes have yet to dissipate between the two.

In a bid to outdo the Roshans, Gada, who has dubbed My Brother's Wife in Hindi and English and re-titled it as Spanish Beauty, has now slated it for release on the same date as the Hrithik Roshan starrer Guzaarish.

Both, Spanish Beauty and Guzaarish, will hit the theatres on November 19.

Gada, who was keen to release Barbara Mori's Spanish film My Brother's Wife, in June this year, postponed it. In fact he wanted to release this film before Kites, but could not complete the dubbing in time.

Says a source, "Spanish Beauty can attract an audience as it has a lot of bold scenes by Barbara." In a very diplomatic U-turn, Gada told Mumbai Mirror last evening, "Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are my friends. It is just that I think November 19 is the best date for my film Spanish Beauty.

I am even trying to contact Barbara to fly down to Mumbai (wouldn't she love that?) before the release of my film, but I don't know if I'll succeed." Good luck, Senor Gada...

My Brother's Wife

It's the story of Zoe (Barbara Mori) and Ignacio (Christian Meier), a childless couple. Here's why: despite many years of being together, Ignacio has a shortcoming; no matter how carnally needy his wife is, he won't budge unless it's a Saturday, his favourite lovemaking day.

She wants a child but her husband is sterile; he suggests adoption but she nixes that option. Enter Gonzalo (Manolo Cardona), Ignacio's brother. Zoe and Gonzalo have an affair and Zoe gets pregnant. Her 'guzaarish' thus comes true! 

Sonam In Wonderland!

Shashank Ghosh had planned a sequel to Quickgun Murugun but that did not materialise. Ghosh will now be making a film for Anil Kapoor's daughter, Rhea, who recently produced Aisha with her sister Sonam in the lead.

The buzz is that Shashank would be working on an Indianised version of Alice In Wonderland. Wonder if he'll play the Mad Hatter, because Sonam's certainly Alice.

Says Shashank, "I'd like to do my version of Alice In Wonderland with Sonam. But for now I'm doing something else for her home production. I can't talk about it since it's a foreign tie-up with Walt Disney. And they have their own ideas on how a film should be projected.

All I can say is that my film with Sonam will go into a completely different space from Aisha. It will certainly not be elitist in tone. I don't know that world at all."

Adds Ghosh, " Rhea Kapoor came to me with the idea. I loved it. So there was no scope of giving her my idea on what to make. But I do intend to throw Alice In Wonderland in Rhea's realm very soon."

Strangely Shashank has not met Sonam yet. Nor has he watched any of her films. But he plans to start shooting the film in March 2011. Hope Sonam's reading this... 

Priyanka's brand new nose

Priyanka Chopra's recent appearance at the 'Being Human' show, raised a couple of collective eyebrows over her new... pert nose.

Speculation was rife that PC had gone under the knife, and that the actress had gone off to fix her nose in... London!

Strange rumour, considering that Chopra's parents run an aesthetic and cosmetology clinic in suburban Mumbai itself.

A source reveals, "Priyanka has always been unhappy with the shape of her nose and always wanted to get it fixed. She felt that a sharper nose would enhance her features a lot more.

Though, there are no details of where she'd got it done, there is little disputing that she's very happy with the results."

Guess, PC's simply more hard nosed now...

Sakshi MMS hits internet again

Bigg Boss 4 contestant Sakshi Pradhan has been in news once again. A new MMS clip has hit the market, featuring MTV Splitsvilla-2 winner Sakshi Pradhan.

 
The 14 second MMS clip shows that the Bigg Boss 4 inmate has been flirting with a guy.
The MMS clip is old but the girl kissing a guy is definitely Sakshi Pradhan.
However, Sakshi has categorically rejected the MMS clip, saying the girl is fake one.
In the MMS clip was made during an audition of Ekta Kapoor’s movie where she kissed a stranger for 14 seconds. On her Facebook Comment, she wrote that the MMS is not true.
The Bigg Boss4 hogged lime light just after start of the show. Ashmit Patel and Riya Sen’s MMS scandal was also raised by the contestants.
